Chicopee,MA June 2004-Team CHICOPEE has been formed as a volunteer group donating the idle time when your screensaver is running on your computer to perform scientific research. The project was funded by the National Science Foundation and the BOINC software was developed by them. Currently, the research involves the exploration of Black Holes in Space. In the future, as this software program in developed, you will be able to choose which projects, you will donate your research for. Planned projects include Cancer research and other medical research projects.
The entire project is coordinated by the servers at the University of California at Berkley. You can acquire the BOINC software free of charge and establish an account on their servers.
